Residential Roofing in Gunpowder
Most of our Gunpowder work is residential, and most of it is on houses built between the 1960s and 1990s. Those roofs are aging out at the same time, which means a lot of our neighbors are facing a replacement decision in the next few years. We handle everything from a single missing shingle to a full tear-off, and we treat a small repair with the same care as a big job. If you are not sure what your roof needs, we will inspect it for free and tell you honestly whether it is a repair or a replacement.
- Full shingle roof replacement — We tear off the old roof, replace any soft sheathing, and install a complete GAF or Owens Corning system with new underlayment, flashing, drip edge, and ridge vent. Most Gunpowder homes are done in one to two days, and we clean up with a magnet sweep for nails.
- Leak diagnosis and repair — Leaks in Gunpowder usually trace back to flashing or a pipe boot, not the shingle field. We use a moisture meter to confirm the wet area, find the actual entry point, and fix it. You get photos of what we found before we close it up.
- Storm and hail damage repair — After a storm rolls through Gunpowder, we inspect for lifted shingles, dented vents, and hail bruising. We document everything for your insurance claim and handle the adjuster conversation so you are not stuck in the middle. Repairs are scheduled as soon as the claim is approved.
- Flat and low-slope roof work — Additions, garages, and porches in Gunpowder often have low-slope roofs that need TPO membrane or EPDM membrane instead of shingles. We correct drainage issues with tapered insulation and install a new membrane over a clean deck, which stops the leak from coming back.
